Ductless Mini-Split Heating & Cooling Systems

Zion Custom Air provides heating and cooling solutions for every home including those without accessible attic space to extend current ductwork, or install new ductwork. One such solution are mini-splits. Although popularized for being ductless, these systems can be ducted as well. The traditional mini-split system consists of an outdoor metal cabinet containing a compressor and condenser, as well as an indoor wall-mounted casing that houses the evaporator coil and a fan. The ducted split system also uses an outdoor metal cabinet with a condensing unit, however, the fan coils are installed at the air distribution point of each room in which heating and cooling is needed. Mini-split systems allow the user to separately control the temperatures in individual spaces. Ductless systems can be a good solution for areas where attic space is not accessible for extending or distributing ductwork (like a guest house, workshop, basement, etc). Whereas a ducted mini-split system, can be a solution creating a multi-zone system effect in your home using separate air distribution units instead of dampers used in traditional multi-zone systems. Still confused? Don't be! Zion Custom Air are experts in repairing, maintaining, and installing mini-split systems. If you are interested in more information on customizing a heating and cooling solution for you using these mini-split systems, don't hesitate to call us today!
